The Northwest Nebraska High Country is formed and run by a group of land-owners, mostly ranchers and farmers, who offer diverse hunting, fishing or wildlife photography, among other things, on their properties in Northwestern Nebraska. The scenic Pine Ridge area, which is central to the Group and its members, is known for its excellent big game hunting. The general area with its surroundings supports a healthy population of whitetail deer, mule deer, true Merriam's turkey, pheasant, a limited number of elk and bighorn sheep, as well as private game animals such as fallow deer, Corsica sheep, mouflon sheep, and buffalo. Varmints and other fur bearing animals are also present in this area such as coyotes, porcupines, bobcats etc. There are numerous creeks and lakes offering fishing and boating as well.

Every member land-owner offers a unique hunting and/or fishing opportunity at an affordable price tag. Some offer guided hunts with pampered lodgings, others offer un-guided self-pampering hunts! If you prefer to just watch or photograph the animals in the wild, you can do that too.
